At Wellness First we strive to provide quality pain management. Our staff has an abundance of experience and expertise to help patients optimally manage their pain, including a Board Certified Pain Specialist, two Nurse Practitioners, a Clinical Health Psychologist and a Certified Health Coach.
Wellness First Pain Management Providers
Michael Najjar, MD
Dr. Najjar graduated from the Medical College of Georgia and completed his residency in Anesthesiology at Providence Hospital in Michigan. He is board certified by the American Board of Anesthesiology. Dr. Najjar also completed an ACGME-approved one year Fellowship in Pain Management at the University of Kentucky and is Board Certified as a Pain Specialist. We are thrilled to have Dr. Najjar with us at Wellness First. Originally from Bethesda, Maryland, Dr. Najjar has worked in the Chattanooga and North Georgia region for many years, including 11 years as the Medical Director of Advanced Pain Care. Eileen Sheehan-Lowery, NP-BC, CNRN
Eileen received her BS in Education in 1982. After two years of teaching, she returned to school, and in 1987, she received her RN degree from Erlanger School of Nursing. Following graduation, Eileen went directly into the Neurology Intensive Care Unit at Erlanger, where she worked for more than 14 years. She received Board Certification as a Neuroscience Registered Nurse in 1994. She later obtained her Masters in Nursing and certification as an Adult Nurse Practitioner (ANP) in 1998 from Andrews University in Michigan. From 2002 to 2005, Eileen worked in Florida as a Nurse Practitioner/First Assistant in Neurosurgery. This gave her the opportunity to care for patients at each step of the illness and healing process. Eileen found great satisfaction in taking care of the patient as a whole person during their medical journey. In addition to having many years experience in Pain Management, Eileen also has experience in Primary Care and in Neurological Interventional Radiology.
Jerry Coleman, FNP
Jerry received his RN from Chattanooga State and went on to earn his MSN-FNP from Graceland University, 2013. He is a great Family Nurse Practitioner and really cares about his patients’ well-being. He has a strong desire to find the underlying cause of issues and looks for the best treatments. Prior to becoming a Nurse Practitioner, Jerry worked as an RN for eight years at Parkridge Hospital, primarily working in the emergency room.

Michele Valadie, EdD
Dr. Valadie graduated from Loyola University in 1981, with a BA in Psychology, completed her Masters in Special Education and received her Doctorate in Education from the University of Tennessee-Chattanooga in 1990 and 2012 respectfully. Dr. Valadie has been certified to practice Reiki since 2012. A native of Chattanooga, Dr. Valadie has been a provider at Wellness First since June, 2013.
